Happy New Year

Welcome to 2008

This may be the first day of the rest of my life
or the last
whichever, whenever, wherever I wish you only the best, and hope you have a great year.
God Bless and happy new year. The world awaits.

My heart breaks everytime I read this

Little Ode On St. Anne's Day
You're growing up
and rain sort of remains
on the branches of a tree
that will someday rule the earth.

and that's good
that there's rain
it clears the month
of your sorry rainbow expressions

and clears the streets
of the silent armies...

so we can dance

Christmas Eve-Expand your mind

Coast To Coast AM find it on your am radio dial late at night and hear amazing stories you won't hear anywhere else.
Russ Kick- From "Psychotropedia : a guide to publications on the periphery" to "You are being lied to : the disinformation guide to media distortion, historical whitewashes and cultural myths" among other curious titles that'll make you think twice about the world around you. (My current favorite: 50 things you're not supposed to know (the police aren't legally obligated to protect you!!))
  • Other favorites from Mr. Kick include,
  • Abuse your illusions : the disinformation guide to media mirages and establishment lies.
  • Everything you know about sex is wrong : the disinformation guide to the extremes of human sexuality (and everything in between)
  • Everything You Know About God Is Wrong : The Disinformation Guide to Religion
and finally, for a new political perspective this year, please tune into Dr. Michael Savage, (He earned a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, in nutritional ethnomedicine.) the host of the nationally syndicated Savage Nation radio show, (which reaches more than 10 million listeners on 410 stations throughout the US. ranking 3rd in both nationwide audience and syndicated stations.) he has has written four New York Times best sellers and among them, Liberalism is a Mental disorder. (Which I own)
Savage is not a republican, neo-conservative, conservative, Christian, bible thumper, liberal, lefty, righty, etc. He transcends labels and criticizes anyone and everyone with humor and striking wit, from Bush, illegal immigration, Ann Coulter, Presidential Candidates, and Barbara boxer, to Susan Sarandon, (or saran-wrap as he calls her) and his walks on the board walk with his pooch Teddy.
Tune in to the Savage Nation

And if these modern day visionaries don't get you thinking, take a look at some of these interesting and frightening facts found in Russ Kick's book 50 Things you're not supposed to know.
  • The CIA commits over 100,000 serious crimes each year
  • 2 atomic bombs dropped on North Carolina
  • Many of the pioneering feminist's opposed abortion
  • The police aren't legally obligated to protect you
  • Electric cars in the 1880's
  • You can mail letters little or no cos
Merry Christmas, and Happy Holiday's

Best Calorie Counter I've ever seen

I found a great Calorie Counter
This website also has an exercise log and it'll tell you how many calories you burn walking at different speeds and distances, it's excellent.
1. Look up an activity such as bicycling in the search bar and you might get something similar to this, a detailed list of the activity or similar activities.

2. Once you click on one, you get a report on it like this

3. If you'd like to look up a report on your food just type in a word like "apple" even a brand name like ("Pepsi" is acceptable,) and a list similar to the bicycle list will appear, very detailed and very organized.
Once you click on the link, you will see a report like this.

presents under the Christmas tree already!
From left to right
I got my mom a cute little lotion package, with three different scents-orange, lemon, and pomegranate's, as well as a singing holiday card. This one sing Jose Feliciano's, "Felis Navidad!"
I got my dad a hallmark book, where he answers questions about his life. It's be neat to go back and read his answer. My dad card sings, "We Wish You a Merry Christmas"
And I got my little sister, an assortment of different colored eyeshadow and brushes, as well as a smackers lip gloss kit, and my sister's card sings "Jingle Bell Rock"
My present from my sister is on the very bottom of all three gifts with the red bow (on the bottom left) I have no idea what it is, but it feels pretty light, so I'm thinking it might be a shirt.
